HOW TO MOVE AROUND
Getting around La Punta de Zicatela and Puerto Escondido is relatively easy, thanks to the various modes of public transportation available. The most common options include colectivos (shared taxis), taxis, and local buses. Colectivos are a convenient and affordable way to travel within the area and to nearby destinations.
Collective:You can catch a collective heading towards the center of Puerto Escondido. Ask the driver to drop you off near the market. The ride is usually quick and inexpensive.
Cab:Taxis are readily available in La Punta. Simply hail one and ask the driver to take you to the Benito Juárez Market. This option is more private and direct, but slightly more expensive.
Local Bus:If you prefer a more economical option, you can take a local bus from La Punta. Look for buses heading towards the "Centro" or "Mercado" and get off at the closest to the place you want to go.

La Punta is renowned for its excellent surf break, making it a prime destination for surfers of all levels. The point break at La Punta creates long, peeling left-hand waves that are ideal for both beginners and seasoned surfers.
